WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Lead Test Technician will oversee the electrical testing and troubleshooting of wire harness, coaxial assemblies and electromechanical assemblies including printed circuit boards. This role involves leading a team of technicians, creating test programs and processes ensuring compliance with customer requirements.



  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of test technicians, providing guidance and support in the proper methods of testing and troubleshooting electrical assemblies.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve test failures, including DWV (Dielectric Withstand Voltage), IR (insulation resistance), IL (Insertion Loss), VSWR (Voltage standing wave ratio) failures. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement effective solutions and prevent recurrence.
  • Test Program Development: Using customer drawings and specifications to create and manage automated test programs for Cirris and DITMCO testers.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Utilize Cirris and DITMCO automated testers, vector network analyzers, CAT-5 Network tester and oscilloscopes for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and any corrective actions taken. Prepare reports for management and clients.
  • Manage Test Mate Inventory: Maintain an accurate database of all test mates and fixtures. Construct any required test mates that are not in inventory.


ABOUT YOU:



  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in programing, testing and troubleshooting using some type of automated test equipment, Hi-pot tester and network analyzer. With at least 3 years of experience in an Aerospace or Military manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, and familiarity with wire harness manufacturing processes. Ability to understand and interpret wire schematics.
  • Advanced knowledge of trouble shooting failures such as DWV, IR, VSWR, IL, Opens, shorts.
  • Proficiency with Oscilloscopes, CAT-5 Network testers, Signal generators.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills,


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:



  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • IPC-620 certification.
  • RF Testing and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting of PC Boards.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
