We are looking for a Residential Lending Assistant. This role supports the assigned loan officer in processing and managing residential loan applications and ensures a smooth and efficient loan process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the loan officer in collecting and reviewing loan applications and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on loan status.
  • Verify and validate borrower information, including income, credit history, and employment details.
  • Prepare and submit loan files to Underwriting for approval.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely processing and closing of loans.
  • Maintain accurate and organized loan files and records.
  • Manage the lender's loan pipeline and ensure accurate status tracking on all prospects and pending loans.
  • Respond to client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a residential lending environment required.
  • A resourceful self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to anticipate needs and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software.

Physical Demands:

  • Sustained standing and sitting;
  • Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;
  • Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
