The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and motivated Area Manager to join our team. This role will oversee multiple Southeast Michigan natural aggregate site locations, ensuring the successful execution of the American Aggregates of Michigan business plan. The Area Manager will play a critical leadership role, providing strategic guidance and operational expertise to site management teams to drive performance and achieve business objectives. Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Area Manager will: Drive and monitor the safety and environmental plans for various sites Develop, train and facilitate a team of Plant Managers Manage site headcount and work with Plant Managers to adjust as needed Assist with investigations and resolutions of significant employee issues Assist Plant Managers with assessment of new opportunities and development of production plan Cultivate relationships with customers and work with Plant Managers to handle critical customer issues Partner with Plant Managers to develop budget, KPIs and business plan Review and analyze site KPIs and budgets monthly; adjust forecasts and business plans Manage the process for evaluating capital expenditures Occasionally act as backup for Plant Manager Audit processes and make recommendations for nonconformance Provide reporting and recordkeeping as required Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager Skills The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in construction related field or equivalent experience Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement related programs and controls Knowledge and expertise in operating and maintaining a plant, with a strong understanding of how production variations impact overall product output Knowledge of contract legalities Ability to develop and lead multi-functional and multi-location teams Ability to understand and use financial data for decision-making Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong self-starter Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Oracle (preferred) Ability to tolerate noise and temperature variations and traverse rough terrain Valid driver's license To Apply Please submit a resume.
