Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Anesthesiology Location Stony Brook, New York Open Date Feb 05, 2025 Deadline Mar 05, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description Stony Brook University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology, has 2 full-time clinical faculty positions available at the Clinical Assistant Professor Level. Stony Brook University is located 60 miles from New York City on Long Island's scenic North Shore. Our 1,100-acre campus is home to 24,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students and more than 13,500 faculty and staff, including those employed at Stony Brook Medicine, Suffolk County's only academic medical center and tertiary care provider. The hospital is undergoing a period of tremendous growth. Additional capacity has recently been added to accommodate our increasing volume. The Department consists of 85 faculty, 50 residents and over 50 CRNAs. Department of Anesthesiology offers generous compensation package along with excellent benefits. This is in addition to what can be deferred through employee contributions to 403B. General Responsibilities: The candidate will provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery or other procedures and will provide consultation before and after the anesthetic procedure. The candidate will be actively engaged in the instruction and/or supervision of medical students, resident physicians and certified registered nurse anesthetists. An active role in clinical and/or basic research will be strongly encouraged.
