Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Location Stony Brook, New York Open Date Feb 05, 2025 Deadline Mar 05, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting a full-time faculty member to provide educational and programmatic leadership, patient care, teaching and clinical supervision of trainees in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Stony Brook Medicine encompasses Suffolk County, Long Island's premier 624-bed academic hospital and regional referral center for complex tertiary care and level I trauma and is home to the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. The Consultation-Liaison (C-L) division includes a well-staffed multidisciplinary clinical and teaching service for residents and students and a Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. The department includes numerous ambulatory integrated care and telehealth initiatives with primary care and medical sub-specialties. The position offers faculty the opportunity to develop a subspecialty inpatient or outpatient niche within C-L Psychiatry and opportunities in administrative and educational program leadership. Schedule: We offer a Monday-Friday 40 hours weekly schedule or the opportunity for a "7 on, 7 off" rotational schedule with another psychiatrist, which would require no less than 80 hours bi-weekly. Compensation: Salary starts at $288,000/year and up, dependent upon the schedule selected (40 hours weekly vs. 80 hours bi-weekly), credentials, and experience.
