Job Details

The Education Programs Administrator's primary responsibility is to ensure the residents receive the appropriate educational experience to ensure that independent practitioner level competency is achieved upon completion of training in accordance with the ACGME. The employee works through recruitment initiatives, adhering to ACGME regulations, curricular innovation, and licensing regulations to provide residents the resources necessary to obtain these competencies. In addition, the Education Programs Administrator acts as a liaison between the office of Educational Programs, Chairman's Office, International Office, House Staff Office and provides assistance on all professional concerns.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Coordinates logistics for residency recruitment, orientations, courses and retreats, onboarding of new interns, maintenance of licensing for all residents.
  • Responsible for coordinating interviews to recruit interns. Assists Associate Program Director in identifying appropriate candidates and sends invites via ERAS. Collaborates with other departments.
  • Updates residency website, graduation booklet and other publications, uses data analysis for such. Prepares data for the Annual Report.
  • Coordinates credentialling process of current and former residents. Compiles and interprets scores to complete and process verification letters, evaluations, licensure forms, loan deferments and letters of recommendation.
  • Assists in ensuring that the residency program meets ACGME requirements and standards to maintain accreditation. Monitors residents' progress regarding program guidelines. Identifies issues as noted in New Innovations and determines appropriate action(s). Reports issues as needed to ensure that the educational goals are met.
  • Coordinates visiting resident rotations.
  • Assists with student grading and evaluations
  • Maintains budgets for sporting tickets, photography, printing, awards, departmental events; schedules rooms/venue, food, invite list. Works with Education Coordinator on the Annual Medicine Ball graduation banquet.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required; Masters Degree preferred (M.Ed., MS, MA)

AND

Experience:

  • Two to five years of relevant experience preferred
