The Failure Analysis team at Marvell owns the entire Failure Analysis (FA) process for both customer returns and internal qualification and production support. This team works closely with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors to perform root cause analysis and drive necessary corrective and preventive actions. What You Can Expect Support failure analysis inspection tasks (optical, IR, X-ray, SAM) Rework on customer returns with die removal, package reconditioning and reball Perform backside milling for 2.5D/3D packaging sample preparation using CNC milling tools Prepare samples with backside Si thinning for FIB and fault isolation work. Provide timely updates on analysis results What We're Looking For Must-to-haves Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields, or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to theories, principles and concepts. OR Associate degree in engineering, science, or related technical field with 3-5 years working experience with strong failure analysis background Minimum 2 years' experience using Allied X-prep or Ultra Tec ASAP tools Ability to work independently as a self-starter and creates solutions with flexibility adjusting to changing priorities. Nice-to-haves Hands-on experience with mechanical polishing, micro probing, and 3D X-ray Experience with basic electrical tools and methods such as Digital Multi-meter (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies. Familiar with physical failure analysis techniques such as thermal emission and photon emission Experience with 8D Problem solving Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 27 - 41, $ per hour. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
