Overview

Intern will participate in various airline safety programs supporting flight safety investigations while utilizing multiple software platforms and will validate and log safety events using Flight Data Monitoring software, WBAT, or other software programs as necessary to identify positive and negative safety trends through various data sources. In addition, the intern will provide support for briefings such as Audits, Investigations, Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) meetings, Flight Data Monitoring meetings, etc.



Responsibilities

    Participate in various airline safety programs supporting data investigations - utilizing multiple platforms (Web Based Application Tools (WBAT), Access, Tableau, GE, CEFA, etc.)
  • Validate and log safety events using Flight Data Monitoring software, WBAT, or other software programs as necessary
  • Identify positive and negative safety trends through various data sources (Flight Crew Reports, Flight Crew Incident Reports, Damage hotline, WBAT reports, etc.)
  • Provide support for briefings - Audits, Investigations, Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) meetings, Flight Data Monitoring meetings, etc.
  • Evaluate safety improvement suggestions from Flight Crew Reports, WBAT reports, and Incident/Accident data as developed and identified by team members
  • Collaborate with leadership on developing and maintaining safety awareness through data presentations and internal dashboards
  • Write reports based on empirical safety data
  • Perform Industry safety data comparisons
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by manager or leadership


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student majoring in aviation studies.
  • Minimum G.P.A - 3.0.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Office.
  • Tableau knowledge is preferred.

Hourly Range: $20.25 - $24.25

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset."
