Position Highlights

The Manager, Online Master of Marketing will oversee operations for the Marketing Department's Online Master of Marketing and support the Immersion PhD and Master of Marketing programs. This role works closely with the Department Head to drive strategic development, address curricular needs, and manage learning assessments. Key responsibilities include program promotion, recruitment and admissions management, student advising and record-keeping, cohort and community building, alumni engagement, and organizing academic and career-focused workshops. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to shape innovative programs and foster meaningful connections among students, alumni, and industry leaders.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role
encompasses responsibilities in academic program management, departmental
administration, and student experience oversight for the Online Master of
Marketing program, while also providing support to the Directors of the PhD and
Immersion Master of Marketing programs in these areas.

Academic Program Management:

  • Develop strategies for increasing enrollment in the Master of Science in Marketing program for Online and Immersion students.
  • Assist in the development and oversight of recent Masters programs, such as an online Master of Science in Marketing, international certificates, and 3+1+1.
  • Coordinate and plan the administration and operation of the academic programs including policy development, budgeting, cost negotiation, expenditure and income forecasting, contract, and grant applications.
  • Monitor curriculum developments and benchmarking and suggest improvements for department programs.
  • Manage and assess the MSM, OMSM, and PhD programs, as well as certificate programs.
  • Develop and guide the department's measures with moving the academic programs forward along with analyzing and evaluating the data. Use innovation and creativity to resolve challenges.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities and contribute with the preparation of requests for proposals, grant applications, and other contracts.
  • Collaborate with Eller College leadership in course scheduling and offerings.
  • Cultivate relations with alumni to assist in mentoring and placing master's students upon graduation.
  • Oversee communication with internal and external constituents, including faculty, staff, student, alumni, recruiters, campus partners, and companies interested in working with master's students.

Academic & Department Administration:

  • Work with Eller Marketing and Communications Team to market graduate programs and develop strategies to recruit new students.
  • Manage the admissions process for master's and Ph.D. programs.
  • Maintain and provide content for Marketing Departments' academic web pages.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual alumni newsletter and social media.
  • Provide expertise and advice to faculty to assist in the development of new courses and academic programs and in the interpretation of academic policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the maintenance of program records, including academic policies and degree requirements.
  • Collaborate with admissions, graduate college, registrars' office, financial aid, and bursars etc. for enrollment, registration, and retention of students.
  • Work with department business manager on program budgets.
  • Maintain conceptual knowledge and expertise of concepts, principals, and practices within the marketing department and a broad understanding of such within the business school.

Student Experience Administration:

  • Oversee academic advising and student support services for graduate students.
  • Oversee best practices and keep programs current.
  • Assess students' feedback and review with the Department Head.
  • Review program effectiveness and develop solutions to improve them with creativity, innovation, and analytical assessment.
  • Provide mentoring to students working on the master's project, including mediation between team members.
  • Assist with graduate orientation and convocation ceremonies, and any other department events.
  • Conduct initiatives that achieve diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • Support students with advisory and referral services, academic performance issues, and student wellness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge working in an academic setting.
  • Ability to coordinate programs and projects.
  • Skills in mentoring and training staff/students.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Related work experience in an academic environment, especially high education administration.
