The Research Technicians will help in setting up research trials in the field and in the laboratory, collect field data, monitor research trials, process and analyze soil and plant samples, organize data and prepare research reports in collaboration with Dr. Sanyal and his team.

Duties & Responsibilities |
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup field and laboratory trial, monitor them, and collect soil and plant samples.
- Process and analyze soil and plant samples, record data, prepare research reports, and actively participate in dissemination of results.
- Work with team members at Sanyal Lab to successfully run experiments and outreach activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to organize research data
- Ability to work in field and laboratory
- Ability to conduct or learn to run soil tests in the laboratory setup
- Ability to do statistical analyses
- Ability to prepare summarized research reports
- Ability to work outside under hot weather
Physical Requirement:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
