FULL-TIME Opportunity Salary: EMT: $25.15 per hour / 57,543 annually Work Hours: 12-hour shifts We are hiring an Industrial EMT to join our team. This position is responsible for initial first aid, emergency care and evaluation of industrial injuries and illnesses. Overall administration and documentation of employee overall first aid visit. Job Summary: This position is a medical representative that works independently with limited supervision. Works closely with customer Safety management teams to provide a safe work environment for workers. This includes but is not limited to working in a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks for potential safety hazards. Provides emergency care at either the scene or first aid clinic and arranges emergency transportation to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. This is considered a safety sensitive position and is subject to both, the Company's and the Client's Industrial Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, which includes: pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return to duty testing and follow-up testing. Responsibilities:
- Administer basic first aid and medical support, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
- Ability to remain calm, react quickly, make sound decisions and respond appropriately in emergency situations to determine a proper course of action and appropriate care
- Assess the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
- Evaluation, treatment and follow-up of industrial injuries and illnesses.
- Documentation of all visits to first aid, filing and notifying management following all HIPA guidelines.
- Coordinates with onsite safety personnel to develop and implement emergency response strategies and safety protocols throughout the industrial site.
- Conducts safety drills and training sessions for employees to ensure everyone is prepared to handle potential workplace emergencies effectively.
- Inspects and maintains emergency medical equipment and supplies, ensuring that all resources are in optimal condition and readily available when needed.
- Participates in safety audits and reviews to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures to reduce the risk of injury or illness on the job site.
- Perform hearing, and fit testing for customer employees.
- Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
- Demonstrates a strong orientation towards teamwork and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
- Demonstrates a strong ability to be aware of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
- Perform other duties as requested by Safety Department.
- Projects a positive attitude and image to the client as an EMS professional to meet the client's needs.
- Works effectively in following policies and procedures.
MinimumRequired Qualifications:
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- EMT -B or Paramedic State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
- Any additional certifications are a plus
