REPORTS TO: Director of Professional Learning & Staff Development POSITION OBJECTIVE: The job of Digital Learning Specialist is done for the purpose/s of assisting the Director of Professional Learning and Staff Development as well as design and develop comprehensive training materials and programs, and deliver engaging training sessions for administrators, faculty, and staff on office productivity tools, software, and internet applications. Additionally, this role will provide continuous support and guidance for the effective use of District-supported applications to enhance operational efficiency and user proficiency. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in job-related area preferred REQUIRED SKILLS: * Ability to make effective presentations and develop practical operating models * Basic understanding of coding to support education and management functions, or willingness to learn * Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of audiences, both orally and in writing * Flexibility with the adoption of new systems and their implementation with staff * Strong problem-solving skills to analyze issues, create action plans, and interpret guidelines, with a focus on attention to detail, confidentiality, and effective communication, even in high-interruption environments. * Knowledge of adult learning and ability to coach and/or teach adult learners * A comprehensive understanding of office practices, recordkeeping, and record retention procedures to effectively perform job functions ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Design and develop comprehensive training materials and programs for administrators, teachers, and staff on office productivity tools, software, and internet applications * Deliver engaging and effective training sessions tailored to the needs of administrators, teachers, and staff * Provide continuous support to ensure the effective use of District-supported applications for enhanced operational efficiency. * Offer guidance to users in troubleshooting and optimizing the use of office tools, software, and applications * Keeps informed about current trends and practices in educational technology * Maintains a library of professional materials for staff use * Makes innovative and highly effective decisions to advance instructional technology within the learning environment 2/6/2025 N I L E S T O W N S H I P H I G H S C H O O L D I S T R I C T 2 1 9 7 7 0 0 G r o s s P o i n t R d S k o k i e , I L 6 0 0 7 7 8 4 7 - 6 2 6 - 3 0 0 0 w w w . n i l e s 2 1 9 . o r g RESPONSIBILITY Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. WORKING ENVIRONMENT The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
