A Day in the Life:

Shipping Associate is responsible for managing the flow of outgoing/incoming shipments by accurately packing, labeling, and coordinating the delivery of goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and working closely with warehouse staff to maintain efficient operations.

Position Details: Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts: 6:30am - 3:00pm with occasional overtime as needed.

Starting pay is $18-$24 per hour depending on experience. This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operation.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy. Update Warehouse Management System with received goods.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Manage organization of inventory according to FIFO (First In / First Out)
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
  • Complete and file all receiving documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
  • Assist with inventory management as needed. Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
  • Unload trucks and deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Training Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and a high level of dedication to safety. Work primarily in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • PCQI Training/Certification is a requirement for this position within six months of hire date.
  • HAZMAT and DOT Certification is a requirement for this position within six months of hire date.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management is a plus.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems or basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety and quality training processes.
  • Overtime will be required both as part of the normal schedule and to provide coverage as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Must pass a functional capacity test prior to employment.
