Your impact

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a vital role in a team of Operations professionals building inflight connectivity solutions connecting aircraft to harnessing the true power of inflight internet to improve how passengers fly and airlines operate. We bring flexibility and performance to airlines and passengers a like across every device, every flight, everywhere.

Inspectors perform inspections, check testing and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processes. They conduct packaging line inspections and the sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met. The inspector my draft procedures and assist with validating or troubleshooting testing methods, including assays. They also apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.

What you will do



  • Understand and assist with any inventory transactions and data recording required for Intelsat's products
  • Assist with physical inventory requirements as required
  • Perform accurate visual, dimensional, mechanical, and/or functional inspection of materials per inspection plans, drawings, and other specification requirements
  • Read and interpret specifications, schematics, and/or design drawings
  • Inspect and file/record incoming material history records
  • Initiate material nonconformance reports, as required. Ensure that the report contains accurate and sufficient detail of compliance or the cause(s) of failure and recommend correction(s)
  • Learn, understand, and use the processes and procedures for Intelsat products
  • Assist with maintaining AS9100 production test requirements and certification
  • Review and process supplier First Article Inspections
  • Assist with preparing internal First Article Inspections
  • Work with internal Intelsat resources to effectively resolve inspection questions and/or issues
  • Support supplier audits
  • Assist with incoming inspection plan development
  • Support calibration program administration
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies, problem orders and intercompany transfer issues



Your required experience/skills



  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • 3-5 years of related aerospace experience
  • AS9100 experience
  • Previous visual and mechanical inspection background with the ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.), as well as higher precision measuring, optical inspection, and/or non-destructive evaluation equipment
  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks

It would be nice if you had:



  • Previous ARD/ODAR experience issuing 8130-3 Airworthiness Release Tags
  • Prior experience working in IFE/IFC (inflight entertainment/inflight connectivity) hardware
  • Skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
