Job Description

The Regional Community Relations Specialist is responsible for the execution of corporate and community events that support organizational corporate responsibility objectives, reputation building and business development. Responsible for all costs, coordination and ensures budget is not exceeded, communication and marketing of each event internally and externally. This position is responsible for community branding through social media, non-profits and employee events.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You'llhelp lead and coordinate the annual United Way Employee Giving Campaign
  • You'll manage event calendars, invoicing, and coordinate client, prospect, and employee ticket allocations.
  • You'll assist with writing and publishing employee facing articles and social media posts
  • You will coordinate sponsor activation deliverables such as sponsor ads, and external brand activations.
  • You will lead employee engagement projects, events, and memberships, including coordinating volunteer projects and awards and recognition activities, employee announcements and presentations.
  • You will support market-wide sales activities and client events including budget, communication, RSVP tracking, planning and execution.
  • You will coordinate Community Fund activities and provide support to the employee board, ensuring processes and procedures are followed, and tracking.
  • Marketing support as needed to - invitations and other collateral.
Education & Experience Requirements

The required level of knowledge is typically acquiredthrough completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations or related field and 4-6 years' work experience related to degree or equivalent work experience of 8-10 years.

  • Thorough knowledge of public relations, community outreach, event planning and communications
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, composition, editing and proofing
  • Through knowledge of publicity and how to maximize positive visibility for the bank
  • General knowledge of accounting principles for budget management
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent professional manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal and customer service skills
  • Ability to be creative and use ingenuity; detail oriented
  • Superior knowledge of social media and marketing avenues
  • Superior PC software skills
