Position Highlights |
This is an entry level marketing job in a fast-paced office of BAAS Marketing serving 3 university clients: Campus Store, Student Unions, and Parking and Transportation. The marketing specialist coordinates marketing activities and campaigns with heavy emphasis on event management. This role is to support all events for the three units from logistics and scheduling to the full scope of marketing activities necessary for success.

Duties & Responsibilities |
- Coordinates special events for
auxiliary services and leads all aspects of the events from conception through clean up, including marketing/promotions, logistics and scheduling. Advises teams to ensure success by presenting solid strategic plans and then analyzing data post events. Responsible for awareness and marketing of all events. Works with internal design team on support collateral. - Collaborates
with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to plan, organize, schedule and execute all event details and activities. - Facilitates
event vendor selection processes (as needed) and works directly with selected vendors and staff to ensure event logistics are accurately planned and executed. - Records and
tracks events such as attendance, cost, prizes, vendor partners, marketing tactics, etc. and prepares event reports for leadership. Monitors special event budgets and works to ensure all events stay on budget. Routinely evaluates all special events and recommends improvements or changes accordingly. Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to prioritize marketing campaigns for multiple clients in order to meet all deadlines.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively and efficiently with individuals and teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of email marketing software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry/move up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Previous experience in event management.
