Summary of Job Duties:The Associate IT Onsite Support assists with IT related issues. This position is entry level and will work on entry level type incidents and workflows. Will coordinate with Senior IT Support Associates for guidance and knowledge as needed. This position will assist with software issues, printing issues, phone issues, computer issues, any issues that may arise involving the need for IT support. This is a training and learning position. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study - OR
  • Associatesdegree in Computer Science or related field of study - OR
  • High School diploma plus 2 experience in cabling, low voltage systems, carpentry/building maintenance

Prefer to have this type of candidate complete a Contingent Worker IT Internship with Northwest IT

Key Responsibilities:
Incident Resolution

  • Technical Support
  • Provide first-line support to end users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely manner.
  • Assist with setup and configuration of workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.

System Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Monitor system performance, network connectivity, and security for any issues or alerts.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, backups, and system checks.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues across various devices and platforms.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, service requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
  • Assist in preparing reports on system health, support activities, and technical issues.

Collaborate with IT Team

  • Work closely with senior IT staff to learn best practices and improve technical skills.
  • Assist in the maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers.
  • Provide assistance with routine IT tasks, including inventory management and asset tracking.

Ensure Security & Compliance

  • Assist in monitoring IT security protocols and enforcing company security policies.
  • Help with software installations, patching, and ensuring antivirus/malware softReport potential security vulnerabilities or breaches to senior IT staff.

Project Management Assistance

  • Assist with IT Projects
  • Support the implementation of IT projects, such as software rollouts or hardware upgrades.
  • Participate in testing and troubleshooting during project deployment phases.
  • Assist with documentation and progress reports as needed.

Other Duties as Assigned
