YOU The Fabrication Lead is responsible for supporting team members to achieve safety, quality and production goals through effective leadership and communication. This includes the coordination of work through several operations (NC Punch, press brake, weld, powder coat, and assembly) while maintaining a 48-hour turnaround on all customer orders. The fabrication lead is also responsible for training, addressing employee concerns, and providing feedback for performance appraisals. This position will lead our second shift Fabrication Team and is scheduled Monday - Thursday, 2:30 pm - 1:00 am. This shift is eligible for a $1.00 shift differential. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time) Ensure that the production schedule is followed and direct operations accordingly to satisfy the needs of our customers. (40%) Operate equipment as necessary to satisfy production demands and needs of the department including forklift, reach truck and pallet jack. Provide training in proper procedures to team members. Assist employees with set-ups and troubleshooting as necessary. (10%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment. WORK ENVIRONMENT The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. Travel This position does not require travel. Work Status & Location This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH Relocation Relocation is not available for this position.
