Purpose Of The Job




  • Manages the O&M Trainers, manages the training budget, and prepares the site training plan





  • Responsible to design, develop and deliver learning programs tailored to the critical competencies for the site.





  • Monitor and analyze individual and group actions of trainee(s) beginning with initial training through certification and to ensure personnel maintain certifications and competencies to execute effectively in their roles.




Salary Range: $110,000 - 115,000

Main Responsibilities




  • Leadership - Manage the O&M Trainers and lead the organization in planning, delivering, creating, and revising the training for JFK AirTrain. Develop and revise technical training material and technical documentation. Develop the training curriculum, evaluate skill levels, coordinate training/training plans, track/monitor employees' skill levels, analyze their performance against job criteria, and implement remedial training to eliminate deficiencies.





  • Collaborate - Develop effective relationships with peers, department managers, and clients by displaying conduct that inspires trust, respect, and reflects a shared purpose in achieving organization goals. Collaborate and communicate across departments to understand how work tasks, procedures and processes interrelate and ensure a shared understanding of safety risks and hazards. Conduct and attend meetings to keep departments informed, updated and address employee work issues and concerns.





  • Customer Relationship - Develop relationships with the client that promote customer excellence and shareholder value by reaching agreements that achieve an excellent customer experience. Implement plans that reflect an understanding of the commercial agreement deliverables. Identify skills, processes, and technical problems, and resolve them logically and efficiently.





  • Administration -Review training schedules to ensure an effective and efficient use of personnel and resources. Conduct audits and provide guidance to senior management. Ensures that all Company related technical/training documents, data, time, and materials are tracked and recorded in Company systems as dictated in Company Policies. Assist in investigations to analyze failure trends in order to improve performance and cost effectiveness. Evaluate proposals and cost estimates for new training programs. Manage the training budget.





  • Safety - Communicate system's safety policies. Assist departments in safety audits and risks analysis to ensure job tasks, facilities, and tools are in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.





MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Educational Requirements

Desirable: Associate's Degree

Experience



  • Mandatory: 10 Years of Job Experience, a minimum of 5 years in Operations, Maintenance, or Customer Service role;
  • Desirable: A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role; Knowledgeable of JFK AirTrain Policies and Procedures or OSHA/Industry standards
  • A valid driver's license in accordance with New York State Motor Vehicle Laws.

  • Advanced communication skills (written/oral/presentation)





  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Applications





  • Advanced skills in mechanical systems





  • Proficiency in electronics
