Location Designation:Hybrid - 3 days per quarter New York Life's Technology Workforce Management C4E is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workforce Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing datasets related to employee and contractor workforces. This individual will be responsible for supporting workforce planning, delivering insights to leadership, supporting labor contract processes, and ensuring the alignment of labor strategies with business goals. The successful candidate will utilize data-driven insights to drive operational efficiencies, streamline processes, and support the successful execution of both internal and external workforce initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Workforce Management:
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in labor utilization.
- Support development of workforce forecasts and plans to meet business needs, ensuring the right mix of skills and labor availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between staffing requirements and business objectives.
- Develop and implement workforce strategies to optimize labor costs and enhance productivity.
- Assist in the development and execution of workforce optimization initiatives, including planning, labor segmentation and allocation.
Vendor Management:
- Identify opportunities to gain additional efficiencies within partnerships with external providers.
- Develop, define, document, and establish appropriate communication and escalation processes to ensure effective vendor management.
- Provide readily-available points of contact to reduce communication barriers and ensure adherence to key guardrails, protecting internal teams and ensuring work is delivered according to best practices.
- Support Performance Management operations in driving governance processes, ensuring continuous alignment between all parties.
- Manage the day-to-day contract administration of third-party agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Monitor the fulfillment of contractual obligations and oversee correspondence with contracting parties.
- Support the development of a methodology for tracking and storing critical recurring and one-time deliverables in a contract repository.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize workforce and vendor data to generate actionable insights and performance reports for management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for both internal labor and external vendors to ensure the achievement of operational objectives.
- Analyze labor trends, turnover rates, and productivity metrics to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to senior leadership regarding workforce and vendor performance.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with HR, operations, finance, and IT teams to align workforce strategies with organizational needs and to ensure integration with the Technology Operating Model.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring smooth communication and effective problem-solving.
- Work closely with the Finance Team to develop methodologies supporting payment and chargeback processes.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to discuss workforce and vendor management challenges, solutions, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-10 years of experience in a data analyst, workforce management, vendor management, or a related analytical role.
- Strong knowledge of workforce planning and labor optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with advanced skills in Excel, and experience with workforce management or vendor management software like SuccessFactors, Fieldglass and Ariba.
- Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
#LI-TL2 Pay Transparency Salary Range:$75,000-$130,000 Overtime eligible:Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes Sales bonus eligible:No Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
