SUMMARY The Regulatory Quality Control Specialist I is responsible for performing a review of loan data ensuring accuracy, adherence to all internal and external compliance, regulatory and audit requirements are met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year College or University preferred; two (2) years' work experience in a financial institution within loan processing or call center, with knowledge in consumer and commercial lending and loans and applicable loan documents, preferred. Experience in quality control work preferred. Understanding of loan accounting systems; loan payment types and processing and ability to research and resolve accounting errors preferred. OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES Advanced personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and e-mail; self-starter and works with minimal direction; strong verbal and written communication skills; Interpersonal skills and team orientation; Ability to meet deadlines; ability to appropriately escalate issues requiring problem solving and decision making. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, peers, or other business partners. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrates critical thinking tendencies to address problems decisively and to propose sustainable solutions. Accepts shared ownership and accountability for results. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk & use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $23.61 to $35.42 per hour in WA and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Benefits include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
