Position Description: The Director, Contracts will oversee all aspects of contract management, including cradle-to-grave contract administration, compliance, risk mitigation, and process improvement. This role is essential for ensuring the organization meets regulatory requirements while fostering business growth. The ideal candidate will serve as the key legal advisor on contractual matters, risk management, and corporate policies while working closely with leadership, business development, and program teams to drive growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Contract Management and Administration
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts (cradle-to-grave), including RFP/RFI analysis, proposal support, contract negotiation, award review, execution, administration, modifications, and closeout for a portfolio of federal contracts, subcontracts, and teaming agreements.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, GSA schedules, and other applicable government regulations.
- Lead the GSA MAS schedule SIN addition process.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance, mitigate organizational risk, and align with corporate objectives.
- Oversee subcontractor agreements, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents.
- Review and interpret contractual terms, identify risks, and recommend mitigations.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including Contracting Officers, Procurement Specialists, partners, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex contract issues, coordinating resolution efforts and ensuring consistent, transparent communication.
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead a team of contracts professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Develop and implement contracts policies, processes, and templates to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business development, finance, and program management to develop contract strategies that support the company's growth initiatives and revenue objectives.
- Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to review RFPs, RFIs, and contract proposals for risk assessment and compliance.
- Leverage data-driven insights to inform leadership on contract performance, pipeline forecasts, and market trends that influence contract acquisition and retention strategies.
Compliance and Risk Mitigation
- Serve as the company's subject matter expert on contracting-related regulations and statutes (FAR and agency-specific supplements), keeping abreast of policy changes and emerging compliance requirements.
- Identify potential risk areas in existing and proposed contracts and develop mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests and ensure contractual compliance.
- Establish, refine, and maintain standard operating procedures and internal controls to support full compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
Process Improvement and Reporting
- Analyze and report on key contract metrics and performance indicators to executive leadership.
- Drive process improvements to optimize contract administration and reduce cycle times.
- Stay current with regulatory and industry trends, ensuring the company adapts to changing requirements.
Requirements: Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing (preferred but not required). Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in contracts administration and management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role preferably within a mid-sized GovCon environment.
- Strong expertise in GSA MAS schedule compliance and add SIN process.
- Deep understanding of government procurement, bid protests, contract claims, and dispute resolution.
- Proven track record managing a diverse portfolio of contract vehicles (ID/IQ, GWAC, BPA, FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, and CPIF) and working with various federal agencies.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and scaling contract operations within a growing organization.
- Experience with IT services and solutions contracts is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAR and agency-specific regulations.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, and risk management capabilities.
- Proficiency with contracts management software and tools and familiarity with financial and ERP systems.

Compensation and Benefits The projected base compensation range for this position is $160,700 to $190,600 per year, benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
