Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $258,600 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.
Position may be filled as a Relationship Manager - RIA or Sr. Relationship Manager - RIA. Depending on the skills, qualifications and number of years of experience.
1834 Investment Advisors is a SEC registered investment adviser focused on helping individuals and organizations manage complex financial needs through financial planning, asset management, retirement plan services, and private banking.
The Relationship Manager - RIA is responsible for deepening relationships with prospective and existing clients. The incumbent will coordinate a team of financial professionals to meet the financial planning, asset management, and banking needs of the client. Relationsip Manager - RIA works as part of a team of specialists across 1834 Investment Advisors and its affiliate Old National Bank. The incumbent will work closely with financial planners, portfolio managers, trust officers, retirement plan service administrators, and philanthropy officers as appropriate.
Key Accountabilities
Within the team-based coverage model, the Relationship Manager's key accountabilities include:
Prospect And Develop Wealth Business Referrals
- Foster productive relationships with affiliate business partners in Old National Bank Consumer and Commercial lines of business
- Works closely with affiliate Old National Bank Private Bankers to develop and expand wallet share with existing wealth relationships.
Manage a Portfolio Of Client Relationships
- Including, but not limited to regular client meetings to review and update client goals, financial information, and investments.
Provide Advice To Clients Through Financial Planning
- Be able to complete a basic plan and work in conjunction with our dedicated financial planning team to deliver and implement comprehensive strategies.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of economic and financial conditions appropriate to advise clients throughout the business cycle:
- Consistently researching and developing subject matter expertise to consult clients appropriately.
- Maintain knowledge of current developments and trends in all relevant technical/professional knowledge area.
- Understands the industry and the factors that affect company performance, uses industry knowledge in planning and decision-making.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
- 10+ years of wealth/investment experience required
- Ability to build and develop a robust sales pipeline
- Must possess strong relationship building skills including verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of investment markets, products and services and the ability to implement investment strategies to meet client needs and goals
- Must possess excellent sales and closing skills
- CFP, MBA, or other professional designation(s) preferred.
- Series 65 or exemption required for registration with the RIA. In the absence of a Series 65 license or exemption, candidate must be willing and able to pass Series 65 within 6 months of start date. The RIA does not require and does not hold securities licenses (e.g., Series 7).
