Azure Engineer

• Cognizant is seeking an Azure Engineer for a full-time onsite role in Chicago, IL.

  The salary range for this role is between $133,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate. All applicants must have valid work authorization.

  Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain containerized microservices using Docker, ensuring they are production-ready and can be easily deployed and managed.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of foundational services, including load balancers, caching mechanisms (likely Redis), and messaging system.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for cost management and optimization in the cloud environment.
  • Ensure the cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Implement security measures such as encryption, access controls, and monitoring to protect sensitive data and services.
  • Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • 4-6 years of experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • 4-6 years of experience with Terraform.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support cloud workloads
  • Experience in hybrid cloud environments
  • Provision Services and resources on cloud using terraform
  • Strong ability to demonstrate capabilities using Kubernetes

Qualifications:
