Description

1st shift

Under the general direction of the Quality Manager is responsible for assuring implementation of current quality systems, recommending improvements, through Improvement Task Forces, leading plant level APQP activities, and assisting in the implementation of new systems.

Represents the Quality Manager in his absence on current production concerns.

Provides the Production Departments guidance in meeting customer specific requirements, using discretionary judgment with respect to fit & functionality, authorized to make judgement calls.

Review and analyze level four SC's capabilities, facilitate appropriate improvement actions.

Participate in APQP activities at the Corporate and plant levels.

Interface with customers and suppliers on new product launch and problem situations, as required.

Conduct and or support plant in all quality / environmental system audits.

Analyze all quality performance information, prepare summaries and report to management.

Conducts visits to the customer. Represents the Company to the customer.

Respond and correct quality issues both internally and externally.

Assign, organize, prepare and finalize PPAP documentation to include annual reviews.

Participate in tool / weld ship run-off approvals, has the authorization to sign-off on part processes.

Participate in product containment analysis.

Maintain and develop customer specifications.

Responsible to conduct Orientation System Presentations as needed.

Participates in production, and shift-to-shift meetings. Deliver expectations on issues that need specific attention in order to meet customer requirements as well make recommendations on how to accomplish the tasks.

Supports IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Systems.

NDT System Facilitator.

Review, analyze and provide guidance on non-conforming product.

Assist in the implementation of corporate and plant quality policies and procedures.

Adhere to all safety regulations.

Has the authority to stop production operations with respect to safety and or quality concerns.

Treats all other Team Members with respect and dignity.

Performs other tasks as assigned.

Education
Bachelors (preferred)
Experience
Prefer ASQC Certification or 4 to 6 years' experience & training; or equivalent combination of education & experienced preferred. Three years' experience in a decision making technical, professional or management position preferred. Working knowledge of applying statistical methods to industrial situations preferred. (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
