Applications Developer 2

The Public Safety IT Delivery Center is seeking someone highly motivated and with great attention to detail to join our team as an Applications Developer 2. This position is in the Applications Support Unit within the Public Safety Solutions Management Division. If this is for you, apply now!

In this position, you will design and code complex applications and complex systems according to user requirements and following the standards of the Department and the Office of Administration. Assignments will be completed using one or more of the following technologies: Visual Studio/Azure DevOps, VB.NET, C#NET, ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC, Windows Communication Foundation, SQL Servers, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML. You will also be responsible for testing and de-bugs coded programs, by creating test data, evaluating output, and correcting errors in order to ensure desired results are being achieved and requirements are met.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with 1 day per month in-office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or
• Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
• Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
• A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
