As a System Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the operation and security of our system infrastructure. Primary duties will include installing, configuring, and optimizing hardware and software components to ensure peak performance and reliability. Monitor system activity, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations. Implement and enforce security policies to help protect data and networks from cyber threats and unauthorized access. Along the way you will get to:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems software, with a focus on Microsoft Windows & Linux environments.
- Responsibilities cover backups, patch management, app installations, storage, compute, and asset management.
- Manage and optimize storage systems to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implement software patches and updates across various systems to ensure security and stability. Utilizing Syxsense software for patch management tasks.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

We are looking for:
- B.S. in computer science or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- Equivalent education includes technical school training and certifications in networks and servers.
- Mid-level server engineer with 5-7 years of experience.
- Strong Microsoft Server experience required.
- Experience with or familiarity with Syxsense software is essential.
- Proficient with server security, policy compliance, issue resolution, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Knowledge of ServiceDesk, Crowdstrike, and Veeam backup solution.
- Familiarity with on-premises and Azure cloud environments is advantageous.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
