Summary:

In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to support delivery of value-based care to generate new pharmacy program opportunities that address stakeholder needs. You will develop and implement innovative business models in collaboration with Vizient leadership, staff, distribution, and supplier partners to optimize contract coverage to deliver cost-effective care and enhance patient outcomes. You will deliver clinical and operational resources, initiative-based cost savings analysis, and contracting and revenue opportunities to highly committed, engaged health-systems. You will maintain existing and new pharmacy program opportunities by collaborating and coordinating with consultants, leadership, and SMEs to meet stakeholder needs through the execution of contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services.

The ideal candidate for this role will be working in the Philadelphia area with a large integrated delivery network health-system.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and facilitate the voice of customer engagements to learn stakeholders' requirements, strategic agendas, and tactical direction.
  • Develop new and maintain current relationships with assigned stakeholders (leaders up to and including the C Suite level).
  • Generate and maintain existing and new projects and contracts that produce strategic and market insights, best practices, and deliver value for stakeholders, leading projects, and contracting teams to accomplish product goals.
  • Guide and influence cross-functional teams to ensure project and contract alignment to stakeholder needs and market competitiveness.
  • Develop and enhance existing and new product-specific tools and approaches to increase contract visibility and utilization
  • Recommend, diagnose, and validate root causes of health care strategic, operational, and clinical challenges; facilitate assessment of solutions that improve member value and growth
  • Operationalize, develop, and implement business strategies and enterprise solutions plans.
  • Develop business review templates and present up to C Suite level stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver customized quarterly presentations to share metrics, reports, value, and new opportunities; creates new quarterly presentation templates and procedures.
  • Support business development activities by leveraging relationships (leaders up to and including C Suite level) to generate leads and participates in closing new contracts.
  • Aggregate data across systems to create a comprehensive view of stakeholder activities; connects stakeholders to pharmacy analytics offerings and technology applications.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree required. MBA or MHA preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant leadership experience in a progressive healthcare setting with key institution leadership engagement such as CEO, COO, CMO, CNO, CPO is required.
  • Advanced practice in 340B, ambulatory, clinical, and acute care operations is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the member organization is required.
  • Advanced functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities, create solutions, and implement.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
