Overview

TRC is seeking a Supervisor of Field Inspectors to support the delivery of energy efficiency programs to commercial and industrial customers in direct support of PSE&G energy efficiency programs in the PSE&G NJ territory. As a Supervisor, you conduct site inspections for commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects and/or customers. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of energy efficiency project verification site visits, the Field Supervisor will manage the inspection pipeline and inquiries and will serve as main Point of Contact (POC)/liaison between the program management and internal project teams. The Field Supervisor is responsible for program tracking towards goal, weekly/monthly/annual reporting of program production, collecting, writing, and updating program documentation, and advising on proper utilization of both internal and external program resources. The Field Supervisor will provide day to day supervision of the Field Inspector staff and will be responsible for developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Field Inspector team. The Field Supervisor will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals/objectives. The Field Supervisor ensures projects in the pipeline are properly inspected and conducts quality assurance reviews of projects as assigned. Must possess a can-do attitude and be willing to wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise field staff to ensure site visits are in compliance with program requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits with commercial & industrial customers throughout New Jersey.
  • Confirm project scopes of work with customers and confirm that scopes match project applications and records.
  • Conduct inspections to document existing building conditions, operations, and schedules and to identify potential efficiency measures. Verify compliance with program requirements.
  • Develop inspection reports that summarize on-site findings and include photographs and action items to resolve discrepancies.
  • Understand and utilize program workbooks
  • Manage inspector queue.
  • Review and analyze pipeline data/reporting.
  • Successfully complete assigned work on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with building owners, operations staff, and contractors.
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators for field staff.
  • Day-to-day field staff supervision.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Residency within the State of New Jersey, preferably from regions identified by the state of New Jersey as Overburdened Communities ( https://dep.nj.gov/ej/communities/ )
  • Reliable means of transportation to facilitate site visits throughout the State of New Jersey.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Aptitude for understanding of building science including mechanical, electrical, and/or weatherization technologies across a broad array of building types.
  • Strong computer and record-keeping skills: proficiency in MS Office and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse customers and contractors effectively and respectfully.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience conducting Energy Efficiency Inspections for commercial and/or industrial buildings.
  • Residency in a region identified by the State of New Jersey as an Overburdened Community
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
