Wieland is hiring a Grants Manager. The Grants Manager will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of externally funded federal and state grants to ensure Wieland North America upholds the highest standards of fiscal and policy compliance in the management and completion of the related projects. The position requires a strong working knowledge and understanding of pre- and post-award grants management. It needs exercise of independent judgment, initiative, project management skills.

This role is located in Louisville, KY, and or can be fully remote. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (10% travel).



Responsibilities

Grants Manager Responsibilities:

    Exercise strong project management skills to effectively service Wieland North America's federal and state grants portfolio from set up to post-closing (audit)
  • Ensure Wieland North America grants are managed in compliance with company policies, Federal Uniform Administrative Requirements (2.CFR 200), and sponsor requirements and expectations
  • Analyze and interpret complex grants and contract specifications, guidelines, and regulations
  • Develop post-award processes that align with federal, sponsor, and company requirements
  • Stay up to date with relevant grant-related developments and policies
  • Co-administer the approval all expenses on grants
  • Manage and process required grant reporting
  • Provide grant projections and financial reports on a monthly basis
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met throughout the project
  • Manage internal and external audits as needed and maintain backup documentation

Grants Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Five years of finance or budget experience
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant pre- and post-award management experience (both federal and non-federal) is required
  • Advanced working knowledge of grant compliance issues & key federal grant regulations is required
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently, take initiative, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Strong administrative support skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
