Medical Software Test Engineer

IPG's Medical Products Group is focused on developing next-generation medical products based on IPG's state-of-the-art lasers. The Medical Software Test Engineer is responsible for qualification, verification, documentation, and developing Production and field application software used in medical lasers.

Responsibilities:

• Software verification/validation testing for field application software and internal Production utility software
• Software documentation: Software Requirement Specifications and Software Validation/Verification protocols
• Production software documentation: Software Requirement Specifications, Software Verification Protocols, Manufacturing Procedures and Work Instructions
• Support and interact with other departments, including R&D, technical support, field service, and manufacturing
• Production Database (PDB) testing, troubleshooting, and interfacing with Production software utilities

Education requirements

• B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in Computer Science or related field

Experience requirements

• 2+ years of work experience in software, information technology, or similar technical field
• Proficient in C/C++/C# programming languages
• Proficient in Linux and Windows OS software development
• Version control systems, revision control and engineering change control
• Proficient in software documentation for medical devices
• Proficient in database interfacing SQL or similar
• Cybersecurity risk assessment and documentation
