Opto-Electrical Cable Assembler

Assemble electro-mechanical components, including wiring, soldering, and creating wire harnesses, according to blueprints and schematics.

Conduct tests to ensure assembled units and wire harnesses meet performance and quality standards.

Inspect components, wire harnesses, and assemblies for defects to ensure they meet specifications.

Diagnose and repair faulty components, wire harnesses, and systems.

Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, tests, and repairs.

Adhere to safety and quality standards, including proper handling of wire harnesses.

Responsibilities:



  • Build electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for lasers
  • Build optical and fiber assemblies
  • Reading blueprints or schematics
  • Test and measurement
  • Troubleshooting
  • Repair



  • High-School education in Electronics
  • Electronics, optics or fiber training and understanding
  • Electronics, soldering, optics, fiber or component level assembly
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics
  • Data entry skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job
