Why Consider This Job Opportunity
The Distribution Key Accounts Manager is responsible for maximizing Murata's sales and market share on assigned distribution accounts. This position takes ownership of the distributor relationship and collaborates with all stakeholders using Murata's long-standing Voice-of-Customer philosophy as a guideline. The Distribution Key Accounts Manager will be the primary contact for corporate interactions between Murata and assigned distributor accounts.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Conducts virtual and in-person meetings at distributor locations to review performance, improvement areas, establish strategic direction, and opportunities to promote Murata's products and solutions.
- Leads distributor meetings and conference calls, publishes minutes, and drives action items to closure.
- Stays updated on distributor business conditions and direction.
- Reviews and sets goals on key Performance Indicators (KPI's) including Point of Sale, Point of Purchase, and inventory levels.
- Leads the internal communications of relevant information with key Murata stakeholders.
- Develops influence with the key decision-makers at all levels of distributors' corporate and regional organizations including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Quality, Logistics, and Senior Management.
- Reviews, maintains, and assures effective implementation and execution of distributor contracts and programs including Supplier Scorecard.
- Accurate forecasting by analyzing market and customer trends as well as customerinsights.
- Inventory analysis and recommendation in support of Murata product positioning.
- Responsible for proactively answering customer inquiries and resolving their concerns.
- Communicate new product introductions and stocking packages. Positions new products and technologies with distributor.
Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities
- Interface across Murata departments and overseas affiliates in support of Murata - distributor strategy.
- Active planning and participation in company, distributor, and industry events.
- Lead the setting of annual co-op marketing plan and oversee execution.
- Facilitates Murata service enhancements in support of distributor.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 3+ or more years of experience in sales or marketing in an electronics-related or other technical industry.
- Experience working for a culturally diverse global company with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategies and effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
- Advanced negotiation skills, ability to understand customer needs to develop mutually beneficial solutions and demonstrated success in managing marketing and product promotions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in interpersonal skills including effective collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proactive and adaptable with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- 5+ or more years of experience in sales or marketing in an electronics-related or other technical industry.
- Experience in sales or marketing at a manufacturer or distributor of electronic components.
- Knowledge of marketing, product promotion, and the electronics components industry.
- Ability to work among individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds with an understanding of basic Japanese business principles.
- Previous budgetary responsibilities and project management experience.
- Ability to learn new tools, troubleshoot issues, and leverage technology.
