TRISTAR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (T-REX) for our upcoming government customer in Tampa, FL
- TRISTAR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer (T-REX) to support the Targeted Requirement Execution (T-REX) program
- Must possess a strong background in with both military and commercial sustainment activities with emphasis on systems engineering and integration of tools and technologies to support Special Operations Forces (SOF)
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluates and recommends programs and development plans for integration, utilizing a professional knowledge of multi-discipline engineering
- Works with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed projects
- Supports technical evaluation elements of market surveys conducted in conjunction with assigned projects and programs
- Provides technical consultation involving applicable test engineering technology
- Determines test requirements and overall objectives
- Prepare test plans to meet the requirement of the project and provides integration planning to support the customers timelines
- Directs and coordinates engineering and maintenance programs and informs development of criteria for specialized critical system design
- Plans, develops, and implements procedures for review of acquisition programs and military engineering programs
- Directs engineering sufficiency review of these programs until turnover
- Provides integration support inputs for approved plans, cost estimates, design calculations, schedules, cost proposals, and engineering studies
- Applies advanced tools to document and analyze the results of critical, complex activities, and tasks
- Provides significant, expert-level support to government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of agency engineering and analysis processes based on daily application of the processes and agency reporting requirements
- Completes advanced engineering demand tasks such as reviewing engineering change proposals, requests for waivers and deviations, and nonconforming materials
- Supports contract modification and makes technical recommendations for change order approval
- Provides expert level inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolution
- Analyzes trends in performance indicators to assist government counterparts with managing-Agency level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of processes
- Assess and communicate supply chain assessments, in writing and orally
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Support the contract with fiscal accountability
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Support the TRISTAR team to identify, assess, and ensure no issues with the quality of products provided to the customer
- Maintain the TRISTAR core values, ethics and support all company policies in the execution of your duties as a Senior Systems Engineer
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management within the Special Operations community with experience in military communications, military intelligence and ISR tools and technologies
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Detail oriented approach to monitor project progress and identify and resolve issues promptly
- A team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- MUST be a US Citizen
- Must possess active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible
'Additional Information:
- Travel: Up to 30% travel to CONUS & OCONUS customer locations to support contractual requirements
- Work Environment: The place of duty will be at the USSOCOM directed location on MacDill AFB, FL
Education and/or Certification
- Master's Degree in System Engineering or related degree in similar field
