Job Title: Training Instructor Location: Pascagoula, MS, US Job Summary: The Training Instructor is responsible for mentoring employees to ensure a successful transition into their work environment. This role involves developing and delivering training programs, assessing employee skill levels, and collaborating with supervisors to enhance workforce knowledge and capabilities. The Training Instructor will also support facility projects, assist in facility HSE regulatory training, and perform various duties as assigned by the HSE Manager. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement training programs based on specified workforce needs, utilizing methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, and workshops. * Work closely with supervisors to identify areas where training is needed due to policy updates, procedural changes, or new technologies. * Assist in testing and evaluating new employees to assess skill levels and training requirements. * Support facility projects as assigned. * Perform other duties as directed by the HSE Manager. Qualifications & Requirements: * Basic knowledge of shipyard and/or related construction activities and operational protocol. * Physical ability to lift, bend, twist, and work in environments exposed to dust, dirt, extreme temperatures, and other challenging conditions. * Strong ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees and trainees. * Enhanced data recordation/record keeping skill set a plus. Preferred Experience & Training: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Additional training in shipyard and/ or related construction industry is preferred. * 5 years of equivalent combinations of experience and training that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will also be considered.
