We are seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in Autodesk FlexSim or equivalent software to join our team and drive operational excellence in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience using simulation tools to analyze, model, and optimize complex systems and processes, helping our clients achieve higher efficiency, cost savings, and performance improvements. As a Senior Consultant, you will work with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions, guiding clients through end-to-end process improvements with a focus on continuous operational enhancements. Job Description
- Lead and deliver complex consulting projects utilizing Discrete Event Simulation to model, analyze, and optimize manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Engage directly with clients to define objectives, gather requirements, and develop tailored simulation models to address specific business challenges.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain systems.
- Develop simulation models and scenarios to forecast potential outcomes and inform decision-making in areas such as production scheduling, inventory management, distribution, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (including senior leadership, operations, and IT teams) to ensure the integration of simulation findings into actionable business strategies.
- Provide expert guidance in process reengineering, change management, and implementation of operational best practices for improved efficiency and profitability.
- Present simulation results, findings, and recommendations to clients through clear, data-driven reports and executive presentations.
- Train and mentor clients on how to use and apply DES software.
- Stay current with industry trends, simulation software advancements, and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting, with a focus on manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain optimization using Discrete Event Simulation.
- Proven expertise in DES software/tools including FlexSim
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving successful optimization initiatives in complex operational environments.
- Solid understanding of operational excellence methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement processes.
- Experience leading client engagements, including project scoping, stakeholder management, and the delivery of impactful results.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team, with a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Good interpersonal, teamwork, presentation and communication skills
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Python, R, VBA, C++, or SQL).
- Experience in specific industries such as automotive, automation, aerospace, or consumer goods is a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt and can problem-solve on the fly.
- Experienced in 2D/3D layout in AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor
