About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Accreditation with a strong technical background in environmental and/or chemical testing, complemented by a solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory quality systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of accreditation activities that influence industries worldwide. This position is preferably based in Fort Wayne, IN, but remote work arrangements may be considered based on qualifications. Overnight travel is required, including both domestic and international trips.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accreditation programs and customer relationships, ensuring excellence in service and compliance.

  • Conduct and lead accreditation assessments of testing laboratories.

  • Ensure the integrity of ANAB's accreditation processes and standards.

  • Collaborate with laboratories, regulatory bodies, and industry experts to advance conformity assessment practices.

Essential Skills:

Being an Accreditation Manager and laboratory Assessor requires a blend of technical expertise and key professional skills:

  • Project & Time Management: Plan, execute, and monitor accreditation processes to meet deadlines while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understand relevant standards and regulations governing accreditation.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure impartial, high-quality accreditation processes.

  • Problem-Solving: Address challenges and develop effective solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: Review documentation meticulously to ensure compliance.

  • Ethical Conduct & Integrity: Uphold the highest ethical standards.

  • Diplomacy & Communication: Engage with diverse audiences with respect, decisiveness, and tact.

  • Adaptability: Adjust to evolving standards and regulatory changes.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of accreditation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or technical field.

  • 5+ years of laboratory technical experience, including quality assurance in related fields (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, TNI, DoD ELAP).

  • Experience in project management and working with diverse stakeholders.

  • Assessment or auditing experience with laboratory accreditation standards preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong keyboarding skills.

  • Ability to manage priorities with minimal direction and work effectively under pressure.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting salary range: $76,800 - $95,900, based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
