Summary
The position handles and provides support relating to human resources activity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position includes the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides customer-focused service to employees, managers, and leadership.
  • Evaluates and compares existing employee benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information.
  • Analyzes results of comparison and surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
  • Analyzes employee utilization of current benefits and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
  • Prepares and files reports of accidents and injuries at establishments.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers for appropriate processes and resolutions of benefit, Family Medical Leave Act, Short Term Disability employee related issues.
  • Supports departments and co-workers as needed with specialist projects.
  • Trains others in HRIS, benefits and other processes.
  • Tracks DoD Security Clearance process working closely with Facility Security Officer (FSO).
  • Complies with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) clauses as it relates to contract employment requirements, such as Service Contract Act (SCA).

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university preferred and three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years' experience in the government contract DoD environment preferred. Knowledge of DoD Security Clearance process and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) clauses as it relates to contract employment requirements, such as Service Contract Act (SCA) needed.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Human Resource information systems; payroll software; and applicant tracking software. Experience with Deltek products is helpful.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Travel

This position may be required to travel up to 5% May include air travel.
