Job Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Northern Virginia (Herndon or Arlington, VA)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer/System Administrator with 5+ years of experience and a strong background in virtualization and system management to join our team in Northern Virginia. This hands-on role is ideal for someone passionate about building and maintaining secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems.

Responsibilities:



  • Configure, deploy, and manage virtualization environments using ESXi, libvirt, and Proxmox.
  • Set up and manage Windows Active Directory, including domain services, group policies, and user account management.
  • Configure and maintain Windows Exchange servers to ensure secure and reliable communication.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot networking environments, including VLANs, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain virtual machines (VMs) for operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system stability, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration guides and standard operating procedures.


Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, system administration, or network management.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., ESXi, libvirt, Proxmox).
  • Proficiency in Windows Active Directory and Windows Exchange server configuration.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VLANs, firewalls, TCP/IP).
  • Experience in building and managing virtual machines.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.


Security Clearance Requirement:



  • Active TS/SCI clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of secure system design and cybersecurity principles.


Work Environment:



  • This role is based in Northern Virginia, with flexibility to work in Herndon or Arlington, depending on preference and project needs.
