Location: Tulsa, OK (Remote)

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $22/hr on W2

Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): Day

Job Description:

  • Constructs, builds, repairs, and inspects Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks to provide voice, video, and data to residential and commercial customers.
  • Coordinates with other utilities for permits, joint trench, pole applications, and service issues.


Virtual Estimator:

  • Performs virtual engineering of proposed residential and commercial projects and ensures alternative routing delivers the most cost effective design for construction. -Researches and reviews plans, gathers necessary data and listing material requirements for project.
  • Prepares budgets and tracks expenses.
  • Provides estimates in an office environment utilizing enterprise supported tools and provides estimates within department +/- % guidelines.
  • Verifies serviceability, surveys proposed service routing, and estimates material, construction, and labor costs.
  • Able to identify areas of high-interest to Cox Business -May order materials or coordinate with administrative personnel; may verify and reconcile invoices.
  • Ability to explain and educate others in fiber and HFC design practices and availability
  • Ability to multi-task between multiple enterprise tools and phone calls. -Releases addresses as serviceable and notifies other departments of serviceability.
  • As projects are completed, perform tasks to close tasks in database, reconcile assets, and generate reports.
  • Able to read and interrupt civil engineering drawings and DOT as well as all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Ability to function as a company representative with other utility and state/local entities.


Typical Training / Experience:

  • HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; Technical certification or Associates degree may be preferred and/or required in some areas;
  • 5-7 years of experience in related area of responsibility Dept/Org Scope & Impact
  • Senior support roles highly experienced in area of responsibility; Performs all of the standard and some specialized more complex aspects of the function; increases department or area impact Problem Complexity
  • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently; May modify processes to resolve situations Autonomy
