Job Title: Public Health Project Coordinator

Pay Rate: $27.15/hour. on W2.

Duration: 6 months contract

Location: Houston, TX 77002

Shift Hours: M-F 8 am-5 pm

Job Description:

  • Coordinates the integration of Ryan White Grant Part A, MAI & EHE data collection strategies and applications, including coordinating activities to support the Centralized Patient Care Data Management System (CPCDMS). Duties include promoting data consistency and quality, providing oversight and day-to-day management of the CPCDMS.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Researches, conceptualizes, and implements the Centralized Patient Care Data Management System (CPCDMS) client-level reporting system.
  • Maintains and updates CPCDMS reports and their associated folders.
  • Provides orientation and ongoing programmatic technical assistance to service providers to ensure the quality of data collection activities are consistent with CPCDMS policies.
  • Develops training materials and oversee the training of new CPCDMS users.
  • Provides input and leadership in the development and/or revision of CPCDMS application specifications, business rules, and system policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates a.nd oversees work efforts and deliverables from application support vendors and ensures work is accomplished.
  • Establishes yearly program goals/objectives and maintains overall project timeline.
  • Compiles program reports for the RWPC, HRSA, and TDSHS affiliates.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in HIV/AIDS-related data collection technology and strategies
  • Responsibilities include other duties as assigned, including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event.


Why is this role needed?

  • Current CPCDMS Coordinator is retiring at end of February 2025.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Health, Social Work or related field.
  • Three years paid experience in management and oversight of health care related data management systems with at least two years involving program design, program oversight and staff development/training.
  • One-year paid experience in implementing and supporting a multi-site PC-based database system.
  • Knowledge of SQL database platforms.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
