POSITION SUMMARY The Lean Director leads the Lean Edge program geared toward continuous improvement of project operations and processes within the Alberici organization. This position leads and supports the company's efforts focused on enhancing customer value, nurturing a learning environment, facilitating continuous improvement processes, and maximizing project team collaboration. The Lean Director employs Lean methodologies and tools to accomplish business objectives and implements the Lean Edge program on projects by providing training and guidance to project staff for the jobsite day-to-day Lean practices. This position ensures that company Lean goals are tracked, met, and adhere to approved budgets; works jointly with other departments to identify next steps in Alberici's Lean journey; and interacts with executive team to provide Lean progress reports and future roadmap. Essential Responsibilities & Duties include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. Management Responsibilities Manages and directs Lean Managers, Engineers, and Facilitators including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving problems. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 15 years of Lean and construction management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Last Planner System project experience required. Completion of Advanced Lean training program is preferred. CM-Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and SCRUM certifications are a plus.
