Shift: Days (Standard 8 hr.)

Job Description:

• Searching for a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist to provide part-time on-site services (minimum of 2-day shifts/week) to the male population at this facility.
• Will also accept full-time services, although those additional hours may be utilized to provide coverage to other facilities via telehealth or to provide on-site services at the male correctional facility located across the street.
• Schedule is weekdays (no nights, weekends, or holidays).
• Start/end times are somewhat flexible based on the needs of the facility. Selected psychiatrist will meet with 12-16 patients per 8-hour shift.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system.
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.
• Managing medication.
• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated.
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment.
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards.
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews.

• Doctoral Degree.
