Production Planner/Scheduler

Job Purpose:

Our Carrollton facility is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler for our IMS manufacturing operations. Responsible forcoordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:



  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor products through the complete production cycle based on customer orders and delivery requirements
  • Work from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements
  • Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules
  • Make or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules cannot be met
  • Reschedule rework, unfinished parts, and assemblies, new production releases, and special orders
  • Establish effective communication with various departments as necessary to meet production requirements
  • Analyzes the demand requirements vs. the supply commitments and possibilities.
  • Performs due diligence by conducting what-if analyses for all demand changes, prior to agreements being made with customers.
  • Executes MRP run for changed demand and end item supply requirements.
  • Works with Master Production Scheduling to ensure closed loop feedback process is in place for all potential risks to meeting supply.
  • Works with Purchasing to confirm materials availability for all demand requests that requireorders to be expedited or placed within lead-time.
  • Works with Management and Supply Chain for agreement of order quantities and rules, bufferinventories, etc.
  • Provides domestic and international materials and required documentation to logistics foroutgoing shipments.
  • Communicates with offsite buyers to close invoices upon receipts of materials.



Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 2 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes
  • A strong background in MRP
  • An understanding of master scheduling and forecasting processes
  • Preferred experience with electronic multi-level builds who iswilling to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to manage customer relationships required
  • Strong computer skills, both MS Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to create and understand reports to support production decisions
  • A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff



Physical Demands

Required to sit for extended periods in an office environment; substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; repetitive motion. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading. Occasionally exerts up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects.
