Director, Field Operations and Sales Force Effectiveness is responsible for driving sales effectiveness, increasing operational efficiencies and strategically align initiatives with organizational objectives through leadership skills and influencing decisions and stakeholders across the business to deliver our business priorities

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business results and strategic initiatives through broad stakeholder coordination, collaboration, operational rigor, cross- functional leadership alignment and partnership.
  • Identify opportunities and lead franchise efforts to streamline, prioritize and focus organizational efforts to enhance productivity and efficiency while accelerating performance.
  • Provide inputs to and facilitate discussions related to IC goals setting and communications across Oncology Sales leaders and internal IC teams.
  • Maintain, manage and track progress of projects for various business critical initiatives which are aligned with OBU goals and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work plans on key initiatives, including identifying project goals, tasks, milestones, RACI, schedules, plans, resources, and status. Share and align with key cross-functional stakeholders as necessary and provide LT updates.
  • Provide executional support to Oncology Marketing Teams to ensure successful delivery and pull-through of key marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure SVP has comprehensive view of key considerations for prioritizing initiatives, internal & external events, and customer engagements while partnering to plan for them in alignment with expected impact.
  • Partner with Oncology leadership, Legal, Compliance and the Data Governance Council as necessary for internal communication related to the salesforce, including business plans, leadership meetings, and current and future projects/initiative
  • Represent the SVP and interests of the sales force in key internal meetings, identifying key follow-up action items and next steps.
  • Define ongoing centrally owned operational needs and the requirements for the OBU to optimize sales force efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Lead all facets of sub-National salesforce meetings to include identification of core team, OLT updates, budget management, 3rd party sourcing and support, meeting planning and agenda ownership.
  • Effectively manage and maintain Non-FTE budget and engage regularly with Finance Partners to assess progress
  • Lead a team of Operations personnel and partner closely with Analytics, Data and 3rd Party contractors to pull through key data for field organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years Pharmaceutical experience, including experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Sales or Sales Management (Sales Management preferred)
    • Sales Information Management
    • Commercial Marketing & Sales Analysis
    • Sales Operations (Territory Operations and Incentive Compensation)
    • Sales Training

There will be 10%-15% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Specialty , Biologics and /or Oncology experience preferred
  • Sales/Sales Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to operate at a strategic level with SVPs/BUH/CLT
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong Leadership and Influencing Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in matrix management and building relationships to gain trust and drive organizational change.
  • Negotiation and establishment of priorities is required as appropriate to ensure alignment with key business initiatives.
