Overall Purpose

The Sr. Director, Fraud Risk Program Management partners with senior Paze/EWS leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute our Fraud Risk program. This role is responsible for delivery of very large, complex programs including groups of interrelated projects targeted to meet one or more key company strategic business goals. This job requires advanced leadership and project management experience and is accountable for building, managing and leading a team of program managers supporting Paze's Fraud Risk program.

Essential Functions

  • Drives, monitors, and manages the successful execution of technology-intensive products, ensuring the fraud program hits strategic objectives/metrics while staying within budget.

  • Proactively monitors fraud performance compared to target, anticipates emerging problems, identifies solutions, and actively engages team members to implement solutions.

  • Establishes best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand, mature and improve effectiveness in support of fraud objectives.

  • Ensures effective delivery of program milestones and outcomes in terms of cost, schedule, budget and quality.

  • Provides effective leadership to Fraud Risk function and develops and manages a highly engaged, high-performance team.

  • Develops and implements roles, responsibilities, processes, and procedures that are comprehensive from initial ideation through to in-market realization.

  • Manages multiple aspects of interrelated project workstreams to ensure the overall program is aligned to and supports the achievement of strategic business objectives.

  • Proactively mitigates issues and risks, creatively and analytically resolves problems by demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

  • Supports the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

  • Manage multiple vendor relationships, ensuring business objectives are met, including compliance with info security, operational risk and business continuity standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree in business, Project Management and/or Computer Science or related field.

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience managing large complex projects in a fraud/payments environment along with 7 years of leadership experience.

  • Strong technical background and experience working with engineering or development teams.

  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all types of audiences including CXO and directs. Fosters a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and leads the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus).

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.

  • Highly engaged, self-starter with ability to balance achieving results and fostering collaboration.

  • Exceptional executive presence, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with digital banking, payments and/or payment networks in the area of fraud risk management.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile / ScrumMaster certifications and/or related certifications, such as PMP, PRINC and/or related certifications.

  • Expert in several internal systems, data and practices as well as industry fraud trends.

  • SAS/SQL or comparable analytic coding certification.

  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The base pay scale for this position in:

Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $185,000 - $220,000.
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $200,000 - $240,000.

Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
