Summary: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Supervisor to lead and oversee Diamondback's field environmental initiatives, including LDAR technicians, Method 22 & OVA inspections, and processes. This role will help develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental risks, enhance sustainability, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in oil and gas, environmental management, regulatory frameworks, and emissions reduction strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to:
- Lead Diamondback Energy's Field Compliance group, including LDAR technicians and office staff
- Help develop Diamondback Energy's environmental strategy, focusing on emissions reduction, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure federal and state compliance related to air and emissions regulations
- Lead Diamondback Energy's field emissions program and management system software
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve emissions monitoring and reporting accuracy.
- Engage with industry trade associations, governmental agencies, and non-profits to stay ahead of emissions monitoring, leaks, and repairs
- Participate and present enterprise level reporting on a weekly basis
- Prepare and provide training for Diamondback Energy's Operations and LDAR teams to ensure field operations meets and exceeds Diamondback Energy's minimum standards
- Review and audit LDAR reports (e.g. Method 22, OVA's) from Diamondback Energy's LDAR team to ensure consistency and develop and provide trends for failures found within the scope of work
- Advise facilities and operations teams on necessary design and operational changes to meet all applicable rules and regulations related to emissions management
- Prepare failures reports for operational and facilities management teams
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 6+ years in Upstream Oil and Gas environmental management
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and monitoring services.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
