Responsibilities

The Configuration Management/Change Management (CM/ChM) Specialist position supports the Intelligence Community (IC) client's Communication (COMM) Directorate Using both a technical advisory and hands-on approach, the CM/ChM specialist is responsible for supporting Configuration Management and Change Management functions using existing engineering processes. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating configuration/change management tools (ServiceNow/HelpNow, J-SMART, Confluence).
  • Supporting system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups through the Request for Change (RFC) process.
  • Facilitating Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
  • Providing support for configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing.
  • Supporting the maintenance of the Configuration Management Library.
  • Providing analysis of current processes and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Performing tasks to ensure new configuration management baseline operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
  • Providing support for configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing.
  • Assisting in developing and documenting new configuration management processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
  • Must possess and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI with Poly
  • 5-7 years of Configuration/Change Management experience
  • Experience with CM and ChM practices
  • Knowledge/experience working in the Intelligence Community
  • Experience with configuration/change management tools (such as ServiceNow, HelpNow, J-SMART)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and formulate solutions for problems/issues
  • Strong interpersonal, customer interaction, written, verbal and briefing skills with ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
