Job Purpose

Primary responsibility for developing and maintaining Sales and Marketing activities to achieve profit goals among fleet customers, national accounts, and OEM accounts. This includes sales planning, goal setting, support of Aftermarket Parts and Fabricated Solutions to achieve goals through sales administration and cooperating interdepartmentally to develop strategic sales and marketing plans consistent with Company objectives. This also includes continuous improvement in all areas including, but not limited to margin/unit sold, market share, target account success rate, internal processes (like order processing lead-time reduction and cost reduction) and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Grow and develop sales assignments that consistently meets/exceeds sales and market share goals while also meeting profit goals. This includes, but is not limited to, improving market penetration (depth and breadth), adding/improving customers, contract negotiation, and representation of Aftermarket Parts & Fabricated Solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to (in cooperation with other departments) align the strengths of the organization with the market opportunities to maximize profit, ROI, and value for stakeholders in the Company. This includes, but is not limited to, recommendation of product lines to respond to the market. Follow in-house sales administrative personnel and activities. The activities include, but are not limited to, quote preparation, releases and shipments, sales promotions and advertising, external communications to dealers, reps.
  • Participate directly in sales (and sales support) calls to internal and external customers, interact with customers, and interact interdepartmentally to promote Company sales and marketing efforts and to strive to maximize value added to the customer.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to create detailed product specifications and ensure accurate quoting inputs.
  • Closely monitor production schedules to ensure customer orders are being fulfilled as expected and communicated in a timely manner. Assist Aftermarket Customer Service team to ensure orders are documented accurately and closely monitor invoicing and receivables.
  • Work closely with quality, manufacturing, and engineering to resolve customer issues and conflicts and ensure on-going customer satisfaction.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy.
  • Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.


Qualifications



  • Education: 4-year business degree or equivalent.


  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Minimum 5 years previous experience in sales and marketing.
    • Trailer industry experience preferred
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
    • Attention to detail.
    • Sales ability.
    • Verbal communication skills, including in front of large groups of people.
    • Knowledge of how to grow and build a business.
    • Written communication skills.
    • Basic knowledge of engineering department and processes.
    • Computer skills.
