Job Title: Apache Hadoop-SQL Developer (ONSITE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Developer with 1 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Apache Hadoop and SQL and will work in a hybrid model with day shifts. This role involves developing and maintaining data solutions that drive our business forward contributing to impactful projects that benefit society.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data solutions using Apache Hadoop and SQL to support business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data management and security to protect sensitive information.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on data-related issues.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data solutions.
• Participate in the design and architecture of new data systems and enhancements.
• Create and maintain documentation for data processes systems and workflows.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights that can drive business decisions.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing robust validation and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize data projects based on business impact.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.

Qualifications

• Possess strong experience in Apache Hadoop and SQL demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain complex data solutions.
• Have a solid understanding of data management best practices and security measures.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Show a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Have experience in conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until February/18/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $62,400- $100,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
